Mascota Fiel

Prototype created for Android platform. The web version is for demonstration only, it can be moved with the WASD keys and the SPACE key to run.

Mascota Fiel is an emotional 2D game with a top-down view that narrates the journey of a pet in search of its lost owner. Along the way, the player will meet other animals that have been abandoned, lost or who have lived the difficult reality of the streets. Each encounter reveals a touching story that shows the harsh circumstances that stray animals face and underlines the importance of kindness and care towards them.

The game combines adventure and education, offering a narrative-rich experience full of lessons about animal welfare. During the adventure, players will discover information cards that not only provide important information about animal care, but also about the animal protection laws in force in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Should the collaboration be successful, these cards will be updated to reflect country-specific information, thus increasing the relevance and usefulness of the game internationally.

Currently, Mascota Fiel is a demo that allows players to choose between two playable characters: a dog or a cat, each with their own perspective and narrative approach. With charming graphics and a soundtrack that accompanies the emotionality of the story, this demo offers a glimpse of the potential of the full game.

I am currently seeking funding to polish and finalize the game. With the support of the community, we plan to complete the story, improve the gameplay mechanics, enrich the scenarios, and add more content that will make Mascota Fiel an even deeper and more meaningful experience. Each contribution brings us closer to telling this important story of empathy and awareness towards animals.
